THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COMMERCIAL ADVERTISING AND PUBLIC SERVICE ADVERTISING

The definition of advertising is a news or messages to public to encourage or persuade or more interested in the goods or service on offer. An advertisement must be supported by the media in order to reached its goal on target. Advertising is not only of goods and services on offer, but also the specific conditions notified to the general public.
So the advertising generally are divided in two : (1) Commercial Advertising, and (2) Public Service Advertising.
Then what the difference between commercial advertising and public service advertising?

Commercial Advertising
Commercial advertising is advertising that offers goods and services. Most of the advertising that we find in various places is commercial advertising. The example of commercial advertising are below :





Public Service Advertising
Public service advertising, known as non commercial advertising, is not aimed to offer goods and services. Usually this advertising aimed at the achievement of the ones with the better conditions (according to the advertiser). The example of public service advertising are below :




The type and purpose of advertisements depending on the advertiser. Commercial Advertising is more leads for profit and more emphasis on the interests of its own, whereas Public Service Advertisement do not seek profit but rather seeks to provide an appeal to the public pay more attention to the situation around.
Public as the audience can get knowledge from an advertising, but could also become a victim of viewing that is. Sometimes the information given could be a form of tricking for the public.
It should be noted in the advertising that actually has a good purpose as a medium to deliver information, should not be contaminated with other things for the benefit of a the parties or the interests of the media itself which ultimately have a negative impact on society.
