KOMPAS.com — Setelah lama dinanti, “Google
Assistant” akhirnya tersedia dalam bahasa Indonesia. Syaratnya, smartphone yang
digunakan harus berjalan pada sistem operasi Android Lolipop 5.0 ke atas atau
iOS 9.1 ke atas.
Untuk menggunakan fitur terbaru tersebut,
pengguna juga harus lebih dulu memperbarui aplikasi “Google Search” ke versi
teranyar. Selanjutnya, setel bahasa pada smartphone Anda ke bahasa Indonesia. Jika
semuanya sudah dilakukan, Anda bisa berbicara dengan Google Assistant untuk
mempermudah aktivitas online sehari-hari. Anda bisa mengirim SMS, menyetel
pengingat, meminta petunjuk arah, menyetel alarm untuk esok hari, dan
sebagainya.
Cara menjajalnya mudah, cukup tekan dan tahan tombol “Home” atau ucapkan “Ok Google” pada smartphone. Selanjutnya, ucapkan perintah dengan suara dalam bahasa Indonesia.
Untuk mengetahui perintah apa saja yang
saat ini bisa dilakukan dalam bahasa Indonesia, cukup tanyakan “apa yang bisa

Agar Google Assistant lebih berguna dan relevan bagi pengguna di Tanah Air, para pengembang lokal bisa membuat aplikasi melalui platform “Actions on Google”. Dengan begitu, aplikasi lokal bisa dilengkapi Google Assisant.
Beberapa aplikasi lokal yang sudah
dilengkapi Google Asistant saat ini adalah “Al-Qolam”, “Joox”, “Kaskus”,
“Klikdokter”, “Mobile Legends”, “Tebak Gambar”, dan “Vira dari Bank BCA”.
Google Assistant dalam Bahasa Indonesia pertama kali diluncurkan pada aplikasi pesan singkat “Google Allo” pada Agustus 2017 lalu.
“Kini, dengan hadirnya Asisten Google di
jutaan smartphone di Indonesia, kami berharap Asisten Google akan memudahkan
aktivitas para pengguna,” kata Head of Marketing Google Indonesia Veronica

Google Assistant sendiri digarap selama 20 tahun dan sampai sekarang masih terus ditingkatkan kemampuannya. Fitur ini berbasiskan teknologi Machine Learing (ML).
Ke depan, Google sesumbar asisten
digitalnya mampu mempelajari preferensi serta hal-hal yang disukai atau tidak
disukai pengguna dengan lebih akurat. Pengembangannya semoga dilakukan dengan
cara yang aman, rahasia, dan sesuai izin pengguna.
